Cabinets & Hardwood Stairs

The cabinets came this week once the tile was finished in the kitchen. The Island comes tomorrow I think. The doors and panals come later so they don't get messed up. The paint is looking good in our room and the boy's rooms. I go pick up the tile for my bath tomorrow. We are really excited it is really starting to look like home.

Starting Stone Work

The Stone is finally going on! We have been waiting to see how it looks on the wall. I think it looks great!
Andy also added the shop to the barn it is going up quickly too. The Tin arrived today but I don't think it will get put on this week they are calling for rain.
The Bathroom tile arrived this Tuesday Andy brought it home in the trailer with all the drying equipment. They are turning the drying equipment and now he doesn't have to drive around with the 20 ft. trailer anymore he said it felt weird without it at first. I went to eat lunch with Andy today and picked out a new color for the master bath the other color was on delay I like the new color better. I also went to Daltile and picked up my brickes for the kitchen and laundry it filled up the back end of my excursion! Then we had to unload it at the house the guys helped though.
We are hoping the tile can get put in this week for the cabinets to be in Monday!! The painters will be finished this week then we will turn on the air conditioner to acclimate the wood for the hardwood guys to sand and finish. Andy is really on the ball now that things have calmed down a little at work. Remember to keep all the flood victims in your prayers.

Primer Time!

Joel and his crew started priming today and I know they finished the downstairs. I am not sure about the upstairs.
The guys doing the water line finished jack-hammering the rock and ran the water line today. They also dug a ditch behind the house for the wires to the barn.
The electricians finished Man land and worked on the barn and the shop.
It was chilly today but the kids actually got in the creek! I think the high was about 62. We went to Bakers' Market and got some yummy burgers to warm them up. Andy had to work today again so I tried to "manage" the goings ons.

Hardwood To Spite The Flood

The hardwood floors are almost finished!! I love them, they look great ! We don't plan on staining them just the clear stuff they do on them. I can't wait till they finish the stairs maybe today! there was one spot that was uneven so we have a few shingles under the floor in the master bedroom. That did the trick.
Andy is very busy with the flood cleanup and setting fans and dehumidifiers so I have been trying to help with the management of the house. It is a lot harder than it looks several calls to the lumber store and runs to home Depot have me missin' him even more. I am just trying to keep things going when he can't be there. He left Saturday afternoon and only comes home late around 9 or 10 so I have been keeping the kids up to see Daddy. I can't complain cause our house is not messed up unless you count the rental having slugs inside yuck!
The flood waters have gone down around here and the angry raging creek is now a babbling brook with a new great swimming hole. I will post the photo's as soon as Andy sends them to me.The hardwood crew has not missed a day but the stone crew is doing flood cleanup so my stone has to wait. Andy's shop shed off is still going up even though it has been muddy by they have kept on working.
