Insulation In... Old Porch Going Out

Insulation is finished and the drywall was delivered today. We plan on the drywall going up this week and that means I need to pick colors. I am a little overwhelmed with the color picking for the whole house!

We had to change our plans of keeping the old porch so, now we have to remove the old one. In the next picture you can see the bars to hold up the concrete for the new porch.

Front Porch Siding

LOOK !! The siding is done !! I love seeing a house instead of wooden sticks. I am very happy with the colors, now to see if the rain will stop so we can get a concrete truck in the yard to finish up the supports. The Insulation is finished on the inside, Andy took pictures of that. The front doors are in and the metal is wrapped around the top of the porch. We are in the process of deciding if we need to put shutters on the dormers or not.

Front Doors and Siding For Chirstmas

My white dormers look even better with trim around them. The front porch looks great almost fully covered with siding. Our front doors are installed but not finished they still need some wood dividers added to the glass to divide the window into thirds. It will be stained too later. The front porch needs to be poured and some supports too. It is hard to get people to work in single didget temps. I can't say that I blame them though.

I'm Dreaming Of White Dormers!

I have been waiting to see siding on the dormers, now I can't wait to see the front of the house with siding on it. The sides of the houes are pretty much done. All the windows are in, The doors were going in yesterday I need to get pics of them. We thought they were the wrong ones after waiting for weeks but they come with pieces of wood to divide the glass those were in a box beside them. I guess we peel and stick the wood on. I took these pictures with Beth's new camera we got her for Christmas its pink. I also took these from inside my truck because it's too cold and muddy to get out unless you are very prepared. We are still going over and working cleaning up on Saturdays. The last two or three I have just swept and picked up wires after the Electricians. We now have a working plug in the house its in the garage! We have lots of light boxes for the lights to go there. We have boxes where the switches and plugs go. Today we are picking out the columns for the front porch!
