Momma




Elizabeth D. (Troyer) Bowman of Elkton, KY died peacefully with her family by her side at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN on May 27, 2010, after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Millersburg, OH on Nov. 26, 1949 to Dan and Katie Ann (Miller) Troyer. Elizabeth was an active member of the Sharon Grove Church of Christ, where her husband Danny is the minister. She was also involved in the Todd Co. Prison ministry. She corresponded with inmates with letters of encouragement and scripture verses, phones calls and visits to freed inmates. . She was an elementary school teacher at Boontown Parochial School and at Pennyrile Christian Academy. She also enjoyed driving her friends in the Amish community. Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 37 years Danny Bowman, and her children Christie(Andy)Brown of Goodlettsville, TN, Nathan(Bethany)Bowman of Huntsville, AL, four grandchildren Beth, Alec, Wyatt, and Katie Ann Brown, her mother Katie Ann Troyer, siblings Dalia D. (Richard) Hottle, Lovina D. Troyer, Katie D. (Neil) Ruhl, Eli(Janet)Troyer, David (Betty) Troyer, Edna D. (Randy)Zimmerly, Esther D. (Harold)Keim, and many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her father Dan E. Troyer, infant sister and Brother-in-Law Sterling Troyer. Services will be held at Latham Funeral Home 413 E. Main St. Elkton, Ky 42220: Calling hours Saturday 2-5 & 6-8 and Sunday Noon until the funeral hour. Funeral service will be Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at the funeral Home. Rodney Cheatham and Bruce Holt, ministers of the Church of Christ, will be officiating and Bobby Gardner will be leading the music. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be give to the Todd Co. Jail Ministry, C/O Jackie Moore, West Side Church of Christ, 723 West Main, Elkton, KY 42220.
















I did not take any pictures at the funeral home but these are the procession and the burial. We laid momma to rest on our land we had always talked about wanting to be on our own land so this is perfect so we can take care of her grave.
